Training
During the first two years of training, we work closely with Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH. The training facilities directly on site ensure a perfect introduction to practical work and support the exchange with other trainees.
At Peiner Träger GmbH, the hierarchies are flat and we rely on strong team cohesion. Everyone can contribute their knowledge and ideas and thus gain valuable experience in steel production throughout the apprenticeship period.

Dual studies
A dual study program combines practice and theory and gives you the opportunity to qualify as an expert for one of our business areas. We are the perfect training company for you if you are interested in studying mechanical or electrical engineering. Your theoretical training will take place at the Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences in Wolfenbüttel. You will build up and continuously expand your practical knowledge at the Peiner plant and the plant of the Salzgitter Flachstahl GmbH.
After completion of your studies, you will also have the opportunity to join us directly as a permanent employee and play a key role in driving our production operations forward.

Training as Cutting Machine Operator (f/m/d)

Internship
At our Salzgitter Group, you have the opportunity to do an internship for school students and thus get a closer look at the technical or commercial training professions.

High school diploma and then? Niedersachsen-Technikum!
As part of the Niedersachsen-Technikum programme, you are given the opportunity to get your orientation before choosing a career or course of study in a scientific or technical field. Together with the TU Braunschweig, we offer female high school graduates a 6-month paid internship.
You will spend four days a week getting to know our company and working in the steel industry. One day a week you will visit our partner university and actively take part in events from the current course catalogue. A major benefit: the internship salary is €500 per month.
