Heat, cold, fire, water: A job at Peiner Träger GmbH is an experience. The process of steel production probably captivates everyone at our company, because it is impressive and combines our cherished tradition with state-of-the-art technology. We produce around 1 million tons of steel per year. The world-famous double-T beam has its origins in the Peiner Träger plant. Steel mill
The steel mill produces around one million tons of steel per year using the electric arc process, with associated secondary metallurgy and two continuous casters. With this process we are already making our contribution to climate-friendly steel production. A highly motivated team runs the exciting process of steel production on large-scale industrial equipment. The workplaces offer our employees many opportunities for deployment and development.
Technical Services
Employees in the Technical Services department deal with all technical issues at the plant of Peine. People with a wide range of qualifications are needed in the subareas of energy and media supply, spare parts management and maintenance, infrastructure and construction technology, and quality assurance. We work with state-of-the-art technology to keep the plant running and processes efficient.
Administration
The administration is divided into the areas of occupational safety, finance and controlling, IT and technical staff units, human resources, shipping and sales. Every day, we all work together to ensure that the company is managed in an efficient and modernized manner. Small teams and flat hierarchies promote short decision-making paths and joint success.
Rolling mills
How scrap is turned into a finished end product: on our two rolling mills the starting materials are heated and formed. In this way, steel beams with lengths of up to 120 meters are produced here. In order to meet customer requirements, employees have to accurately dimension the products and precisely set up and convert the highly complex equipment so that in the end the required product is created. In the rolling mill, employees can assume great responsibility and experience solid team cohesion.
