Following SALCOS® - Visit from Skandinavia

We were pleased to welcome representatives from Lemvigh + Müller A/S, Give Steel A/S and Kærsgaard A/S to our office in Peine last week. We discussed the manufacturing process for our Low CO₂ SALCOS® Structural Steel, the benefits of a closed loops in our manufacturing process, where we use 100% steel scrap to manufacture our beams, our vision for sustainable construction and greener future.

Together we visited our steelworks, rolling mill and logistics. Our guests were able to see our electric arc furnaces in full swing, where we melt down a million ton of steel scrap each year which in turn is used to manufacture our proven high quality steel beams in our rolling mills.

We also visited our logistics center and interim storage facilities to see the loading and shipping of railcars full of steel beams to our customers such as Lemvigh+Müller.
