Hubertus Heil visits Peiner Träger GmbH

On Friday, 30 August, we had the honour of welcoming the Federal Minister of Labour and Social Affairs, Hubertus Heil, to Peiner Träger GmbH. The visit began with a joint discussion about the current economic situation and the political framework conditions that are essential for a successful transformation. These include competitive electricity prices, the development of green lead markets and the use of new trade policy instruments to combat unfair imports and global overcapacity.

For PTG and other manufacturers of sustainable building materials, it is essential that sustainability criteria are also incorporated into public tenders so that the public sector can fulfil its pioneering role in the transformation process.

Afterwards, Mr Heil took an hour to talk in depth with our trainees and the works council. It became clear how important the promotion of junior staff and dialogue with the workforce are for the future of our company.

As part of a final factory tour, Mr Heil had the opportunity to gain an impression of our steel and beam production.
