5th demand of Architects for Future: let´s construct circular

20.08.2024 | Peiner Träger GmbH

The Architects for Future initiative has formulated ten key demands with the objective of establishing a comprehensive transition to sustainable building practices. One of these demands is the transition to circular and climate-positive construction methods.

The efficient utilization of resources in closed cycles is of paramount importance for the preservation of planetary boundaries and the assurance of future generations' access to valuable resources.

In the context of sustainable construction, steel assumes a pivotal role. In addition to its durability and robustness, steel can be recycled an infinite number of times without compromising quality, making it an exemplary representative of the circular economy. As a resource-saving building material, steel makes a significant contribution to reducing the consumption of resources, due to its reusability and low weight in comparison to other materials.

As an impact partner of C2C NGO, our objective is to collectively shape a sustainable future in collaboration with other companies and initiatives, and to serve as a pioneering model for a sustainable construction industry.
