For customers with an even stronger focus on their carbon footprint, we offer a green alternative: Beams and profiles made of SALCOS® Structural Steel with a CO2 value of only 366 kg CO2e/t. For this purpose we use green electricity from wind power directly from the producer, based on the conclusion of a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA).

A wide range of high-quality steel products are manufactured in Peine, including sectional steel and beams with a height from a mere 91 mm up to 1,100 mm, heavy column sections, various special sections and a wide range of steel and special grades. As a full-range supplier, we supply you centrally from Peine with a full range of steel profiles for your construction project.

Our delivery programme

Besides new and improved products, we supply nationally and internationally established profile series and special profiles whose static characteristics are listed in the respective documents. There you will also find information on the available material grades. In addition to metric formats, our portfolio also includes inch and inch-based profiles. Section lengths over 38 m are possible on request. Length margins and special tolerance requirements can be specified at the time of the order.

Our steel grades

Highest economic efficiency, outstanding dimensional accuracy, extremely short construction times and favourable material behaviour - even under dynamic load. These and many other properties make steel a special building material.

We supply all profile dimensions in accordance with the current national and international standards for structural and fine-grained structural steels, offshore and shipbuilding steels, as well as in special specifications. We offer special products such as mine support sections in the respective corresponding steel grades.

Carbon equivalent and weldability

The high-strength steels are characterized by very good weldability due to a particularly low carbon equivalent value (CEV). They are largely weldable without preheating. We guarantee a maximum carbon equivalent according to the standard or optionally max:

  • 0,39 % for S355
  • 0,42 % for S420
  • 0,43 % for S460

Properties in product thickness direction

On request, our steels can also be supplied with guaranteed properties in the product thickness direction in accordance with EN10164. This eliminates the risk of lamellar tearing.

Delivery conditions

Upon customer request, our products can be produced in the delivery states "normalizing rolled" or "thermomechanically rolled".

Galvanizability

An Si content of 0.15 to 0.25% ensures excellent galvanizability for all steels for Peiner beams.
